Despite sharing the same wildlife, it has fewer visitors than Bandipur, making it all the more appealing and of course less congested. Nagarhole features a good blend of dense jungle and open meadows along the river bank, which makes for fantastic wildlife-watching. It is a home to tigers, elephants, leopards, gaurs, barking deer, wild dogs, bonnet macaques and common langurs and about 270 species of birds. The best time to view wildlife is during summer (April to May), though winter (November to February) is more comfortable. Government-run jeep safaris and boat trips are the good ways of exploring the park.

3.Periyar National Park

One of the most popular national parks in south India, Periyar National Park exemplifies nature’s bounty and scenic charm. 8.Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

10.Eravikulam National Park
